Online Dating to the Rescue

There were twin boys named John and Jim. They lived up in Lincoln, Maine. They were ordinary men of around 30 years of age. Sometimes it is difficult to meet people when you live in a small town. They came across an article in the Bangor Daily News advertising online dating. They immediately signed up. It took some time for them to meet someone, due to the rural area in which they resided. After all you cannot perform miracles by matching twins living in the middle of nowhere with their mates. Unless the online dating service had two girls also living in the middle of nowhere. They were lucky to be going on a double date. Online dating services do not usually do this.

After a few months the twins finally were set up by the online dating service. Unbelievably the girls lived two towns over. Had they lived only one town over they probably would have known each other to begin with. Something turned up a day before the date and it had to be rescheduled for the following weekend. The guys were on pins and needles. They had their fingers crossed that online dating was the answer to having been born in the middle of nowhere.

I heard there was a double wedding some three months after the online dating encounter occurred. I read about it in the Morning Sentinel online, a Maine newspaper. I was amazed. Jim and John not only went out on the double date, had a double wedding (everyone was happy about this for it saved them money), but the girls themselves were twins. I will not say that the girls had the same birthdays as the guys for that would not be true. This online dating success was simply amazing. Online dating in rural Maine. Wow!
